Such a tragedy

I feel so sorry for everyone affected by the wild fires in California.
I know a lot of the celebrities are rich enough to rebuild (some may have anther home or two somewhere else. ) And I feel so sorry for the people who don't have the money or insurance to rebuild.
Where are they going in the meantime? Many of their neighbors and friends are suffering also, who might could have given them a place to stay.
Someone's home, whether it's a mansion or a modest house usually is the most important material possession most people have.
Not necessarily financially, but everyone has things that can never be replaced. Family photos (pre smartphones), items that belonged to a great grand parent, special toys that the babies loved, so many things that are gone forever.
We need to keep all those affected by this heartbreaking devastation in our prayers and help where we can.
These fires didn't care who was rich or poor. So very sad.

Yes, it really is, and little of it is contained at this point either.

I was so surprised yesterday to hear the fires aren't close to being over.

@1creekgirl No, it has been too windy to really get a handle on them.

I pray for them ever night. The sad thing is...the vultures are already hunting down owners and offering to buy up their properties.

@1creekgirl Also, the time of response. They waited forever to say they were helping the people in NC, but immediate response to CA. Makes no sense other than CA is democratic state and NC is republican. That is just a shame and a divide of our country right there.

I agree, Karen. Americans in disasters deserve help.

@kareng Disasters require help as soon as possible and politics should never be a factor.

For sure help where we can. That includes our leaders- NOT getting into politics here. Just bottom of the barrel: stop being a Democrat or a Republican and turn into a human being. I am shaking my head and soul as I read that some leaders don't want to fork over disaster relief money. That is just nasty.

My heart and prayers go out to those affected by the fires. You can't replace a lot of personal items that hold precious memories. I hope there are no more deaths.

Yes, I'm those who lost everything in the fire felt a sense of being violated. Stupid politicians like the Governor and Mayor could have lessened the severity of this disaster if only they practiced proper fire prevention instead of woke policies.
