Happy New Year 2025 to all Mylotters. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas celebrations. I did. It was a wonderful celebrations with my family and friends.
Now, I am thinking of where to travel this year with my husband. We didn’t travel together last year as he was on and off in the hospital. Thankfully, he is doing well now and we are thinking of having a vacation, just here in Germany.
Germany has a lot of castles and I love visiting castles and historical places. We have not booked yet. We are still looking online, where to go.
Are you thinking of having a vacation somewhere in your country or outside your country?
Anyway, it’s still the beginning of the year.
Thanks for reading. I hope you are all well.

I haven't thought about vacations yet for this year. I am sure I will be making a couple of trips to PA though.

@Tampa_girl7 I watched a lot of those WWII movies, and it did not look pretty enough.

Happy New Year! Glad you had a good holiday season and planning a vacation trip sounds like fun. Castles intrigue me and it's hard to fathom people actually living in them. I doubt I would be able to survive without all my modern conveniences.
I don't have any vacation plans yet but it would be nice to get away

Yes;I'm planning to visit Ayodhya; one of our holiest cities in our northern state; UP. But I doubt think I would be able to go. I have a grocery and I'm the only one in my family to manage it.

@thelme55 I went out for walk after shutting my store. But I could not walk for a four kms long distance. My friends made me to have dinner at a hotel.
Now I'm back home.

@jobelbojel We talked about going in between Christmas and New Years, but a wedding popped up and then rescheduled but too late for us to go. I may have to drag my husband and just go!!

Happy New Year to you too Thelma. :)
No vacations...:( Cannot afford...but ..whenever I do get a chance, I choose to go on pilgrimage...I am such a sinner...
Castles would scare me...I would expect some ghost lurking in the corner. LOL
Is that you in the picture...wherever that is, it is very pretty scenery.

Happy New Year @vandana7
I would love to go on a pilgrimage but not alone. My friends are not into pilgrimage.
I have that feeling too. Sometimes, I got goosebumps thinking about the people who have lived in that castle I visited.
Yes, that was me walking to the Rhine river nearby where we live.
Thanks.

I am glad about that too @jobelbojel. I hope so but I think it will just be here in Germany and in the neighbouring countries where we can just drive our car. Thank you.

Happy New Year to you as well.
I hope that 2025 is a better year for you and your husband and that you can travel.
We usually take a week to go somewhere a little further north in our province of Ontario.
We have decided on a location for this year, but have not booked it just yet.
I may change the weeks that I have booked as we may go away at Christmas.

Islands in the Philippines have also beautiful places to visit. I read that there are officially 1,600 plus islands now in our home country. Thanks @freelancermariagrace. Happy new year btw.

@thelme55 I don't know. She said that she was watched 1000 pound sisters (a weight loss show) and the sisters had went to England. She mentioned to her mother that she wanted to go there too. Her son is not interested in going and her mother can't walk too far.

I believe Bavaria has lot of castles and old monuments that is definitely worth visiting. And I think it is a greta plan.Well, for me I am not sure if I would be taking vacation . I am also not sure of the travel as well. If there is travel , most probably that would be work related. I would like to concentrate on a few things which are in my hand and get those resolved this year. I have a debt that I would like to reduce significantly and this is the main year for the same. The debt if prolonged could gather more interest and could be challenging for me in long term and well looking to bring it down even if I cannot close it off. Well , great to read your husband is doing better. Take care!
