I can no longer get money from my PayPal account.

I spent half an hour this morning trying to access my PayPal account. I allowed someone to pay me via PayPal for a Marantz tuner I sold him a couple of months ago.
This morning, I decided to transfer that money (I think it was $150) into my bank account, so I could invest it (and some other monies) in a fixed income fund.
I could not access my PayPal account. It would not accept my password, and when I tried to change my password, the "access code" they sent me did not work.
I called their Customer Service department, was placed on hold, and then hung up on.
I was finally able to get through to my PayPal account, but it appears I can no longer withdraw money and have it sent to my checking account.
I will have to look into this further. I find it difficult to believe that I cannot take money out of PayPal.
I will refrain from using them in the future. Cash on the barrelhead, son!
Do you use PayPal?

Well yeah, that's how I get mylot money. They are hard to deal with though if there is a problem. I have had some issues that took way too long to resolve

I used to do writing sites and earning sites. I got money in Paypal for all of them. The writing sites all closed up, one at a time. I also quit my main writing site because it was such a maze of lies and problems. Now, my Paypal is quite empty most of the time.

@TheHorse I use a PP debit card, and I waited a long time for them to resend it, and when they did it was the compromised card..ie a new card with the same number. I had to wait another 10 days for one to come! I should have said first my account was hacked, and that I needed a new card

Yes I do use it and have never had a problem transferring money to my checking account. One thing they tried to offer me that I have never pursued is a PayPal card. I think it's like a debit card or a credit card that can be used to purchase things. Maybe you could enquire about that so that you can use your money.

I have their debit card and have never had a problem with it. That let me use the money without linking my bank account

I found there is now a minimum amount you can withdraw from Paypal. I decided to just leave my money in there as I have a monthly subscription that goes through my Paypal so any money deposited in there will get used for that. It's unfortunate that I cannot take advantage of the money sent my way via paypal.

Yes, I use it and haven't had any problem transferring $$ to my bank account.
If you won't use PayPal in the future, how will myLot pay you?

I have a paypal account. Some of my survey sites pay me with PayPal. I do not have a lot in it right now, but I have never had trouble sending to my bank. I also can use it on Amazon and I do have a debit card. They are wanting me to get a credit card but I am passing on that for now.

I am trying to figure out their business model at this point. I was able to withdraw my funds from there and send it to my bank account. But I had no control over how much I withdrew. It was all or nothing. I then deposited $100 back into PayPal, to cover my (faulty) Microsoft subscription.

@TheHorse I think that one is owned by Paypal or same company owns both of them. Someone was telling me about that. You may want to check that out first. My oldest daughter uses Cash App. I had installed on my phone and then had to get a new phone and now I can't remember my password.

I have had a PayPal account with a debit card and have used it for many years. Are you able to use your account now? I hope so. This can be so frustrating.

Yes, I do but I added Pretty to my PayPal account and my checking account. I can't access either one of them anymore. She changed the passwords so she could use them. Now, I have to tell her that I want money so she can get it for me. It's annoying! I used to access PayPal to drop money into my checking account. I'd go to the bank if I wanted money from checking. She wants to go online for everything... *sigh*

Yes, I have Paypal. I have a lot of trouble with it now. It won't take my bank card anymore. My son tried to withdraw some money from it on New Year's 2024 and somehow it glitched. I don't know what he did but he ruined it for me. I was in rehab at the time.
I get some money in there once in a while from myLot or a random survey on FB but can't put money in myself. I don't know what to do. I tried to put other cards on my account but it runs through a company that takes $1.95 out of my bank but never sends the code. The internet is just one big scam after another, imo.

I hope you can solve the problem, I had a problem with PayPal a few years ago and by sending what PayPal needed still my account was frozen for 180 days (could only log in, could not send or receive money) then when the time come my account was restored.
