I´ll make a shepherd´s pie on Wednesday for Martín and Anita. And tomorrow I´ll have lentils for lunch.
Years ago, I had to eat at least 2 dishes of lentils. I just loved them. Now I´m eating less of everything but I don´t get thinner. I make lentils when I have leftover rice and add some. Then I blend part of it so that it is more a paste than a soup. I also add caramelized diced onions with a bit of crushed garlic. This time I will also add pork as most people eat it with pork meat or sausage (I don´t). But this is for Martín and I have leftover pork.
And on Wednesday I´ll have shepherd´s pie. I´ll make it the day before so that I can do my therapy with Martín while the pie is in the oven.
Tomorrow drugstores sell meds 30%. Martín will take me in his car. I have a list of meds so big that I´m thinking about jumping from a 5th floor instead of trying to get well.. In my country meds are very expensive. Often, people go across the Andes mountains into Argentina to buy their meds if they need many. It is a shame!
But on the other hand, people come from Argentina to buy cellphones and laptops. Now that it is summer, stores here are full of people from Argentina who come to my country for their summer holidays and bring their lists of technology.
Do you have such things where you live?

People in the US who don't have good insurance go to Canada to buy cheaper meds and sometimes go to Mexico for cheaper surgeries. (I don't know if that's a good thing or not...) I've heard people can get Canadian medicines online now but I don't know if that's true, either.

@kareng You take the same risk here in the States. Surgeons kill people here, too. At least the bill would be cheaper there.

@marguicha I think you should go to a doctor or emergency place asap to talk about being depressed and getting meds to help you feel better. The world is a better place because you are in it. Are there any programs that would help you with the high price of your medications?

Not right here but in PA people come from other states to buy clothes and linens since no sales tax on them in PA.

For those reasons I thank the Lord each day I don't need any meds,

It depends on the item what is more expensive here. We have high priced meds but people come from Argentina for laptops and shoes. And that is weird because they have good leather that we don´t.

In my community we have programs for those who can't afford needed meds. Offices that help these people have a pamphlet of medical programs and info about each one so people can get the help they need.

We are lucky. Our meds are quite reasonable with our insurance. Have a good week.
