A New One To Me

I think most of us have heard or even had prebiotics (great for gut health). Actress Jamie Lee Curtis became well known for her endorsement of a yogurt that contained them. Recently, I was given postbiotics to test (pictured) and that was a new one to me. Do any of you get prebiotics or postbiotics into your diet? It might be through yogurt like Activia, or gummies like the ones pictured… Doctors certainly do sing their praises.

I do enjoy Activa both for the taste as well as for the health advantages. I wouldn't like this, I don't like gummies-can you believe that? I swear that I am the only person who dislikes gummies.

@Juliaacv The taste. The outcome was exactly as predicted, which is why I’m trying to get my dad to try at least a similar product. I don’t need them, but he does.

I bought and ate the yogurt for a few months but couldn't tell any difference in my health so stopped buying it. I've never heard of postbiotics, either. Let me know if it does anything for you, please.

@AmbiePam Okay... I don't need that. The Graves' Disease makes that happen if I don't take my meds on time... No thanks!

I sometimes buy a pack of five little bottles of probiotics. I wouldn't really know if they help or not.

I usually buy the Dannon Lite and Fit Greek yogurt. I'm not really crazy about yogurt but figure it's healthy so I eat it I've never heard of postbiotics

Yeah, I’m not a yogurt person either. This was my first introduction to postbiotics.

I only take probiotics for the gut and reproductive health. What do prebiotics do to our bodies?

From what I read when I looked it up to be succinct in my answer, prebiotics give nutrients to colon cells, and help digestion. They are not live bacteria like probiotics.

I have been given prebiotics for health reasons. They are wonderful to use.
