I have runny nose since last night, my throat begin to itch. The whole day of Tuesday it is sore so I drink hot honey lemon tea. It is a tea without a tea. It is just hot water with lemon and water. It soothes my sore throat. Any remedy for itchy and sore throat?

My mom swore by hot milk, melted butter, some honey and a good drop of brandy, Down the hatch and sweat it out over night,

@Iam_jauntyjen the butter melted and went down smoothly and the honey sweetened things up and the brandy made you sweat out the disease. When anyone makes cream sauces they all include milk and butter,

Hot milk with melted butter? What a weird combination. Where did she learn that concoction?

Hot honey lemon tea is beneficial. Moreover, you can try gargling with Bactidol.

Gosh I recently had a scratchy throat for 10 days. I hope yours goes away faster than that. Mine usually last longer than 3.
