Mid-Week Coffee Talk

Happy Wednesday Everyone! another cold and cloudy day here today. The sun peeks in and out but not enough to make it feel like a sunny day. Add in really cold temperatures and once again I'm saying...I'm Tired of Winter!
The groomer is coming this afternoon and that will take about 2 hours of time for her to get the dog back to looking normal. It's been a few weeks overdue for the grooming so the poor dog looks like a stray. Her nails are clicking on the floor and her fur is almost covering her eyes. What a mess.
You gotta love the USPS. Last week I mailed two packages to the same person at the same time on the same day. One reached her and was delivered quickly and the other is still in transit and stuck at some facility for two days now. Now I regret not sending everything in one box (I couldn't find a box big enough at the time). Now I'm following the tracking and hoping she gets it soon.
Tonight is pasta night and I'm looking forward to dinner! I haven't even had breakfast yet and I'm already anticipating dinner

How are you doing with Keto? I've thought about doing it but I can't seem to give up carbs.

@Marilynda1225 It’s getting easier. I’ve lost 8 pounds, and I’m adjusting slowly. I have more energy, and my stepmom has made some food that is so delicious I don’t feel deprived at all. I hope to make some of those recipes myself.

@AmbiePam thats absolutely awesome especially that you have more energy. Its important to enjoy what you're eating and great that your stepmom has made some good recipes. Food can be so boring if it doesn't have flavor

I'm just anticipating it to take about 2 hours since the dog is a hot mess.
Crazy about those packages isn't it. I would have thought they would have gotten there at the same time.

Yum, pasta. I am going out for Chinese for a late lunch, so probably not too much for dinner here..maybe a sandwich.

I don't know how it happened but it just seems we have pasta on Wednesdays. Enjoy your Chinese food. I haven't had Chinese food in quite awhile. Maybe if the weather isn't bad over the weekend my daughter and I will have some.

@Marilynda1225 The girls love it too.
Grandpa usually brings a little of whatever is leftover for his lunch, but now I have to basically make twice as much as we eat because they love it and will eat all of his tomorrow for lunch if I don't make enough for each of them. And Grandpa tells me that those little girls can really put it away.
They will be 3 in a couple of weeks, and I had no idea how much our lives would change (for the better) then, I only saw 2 tiny little babies a couple of pounds with tubes and wires and under the glass of the incubator, now look at them-they are successfully running our lives. 
And we LOVE it.

We've been sunny but have had heavy winds. The smoke and ashes are invisible, but surely it's there - the air quality is horrible. Your dog must be feeling fantastic now. Hope that package gets to the destination soon - did it do some traveling? Enjoy your pasta dinner . . . I love pasta!!

Good morning... It's cold and cloudy in my part of Missouri. (My phone shows it's sunny outside but I looked out my bedroom window while on my way for a pee break and it's completely overcast. Stupid phone!) We are supposed to reach mid-40s today which will be nice. Most of the snow is gone now so Pretty and I will be able to get our prescriptions this afternoon as long as I can still see by then. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I've got ground beef thawing for pasta tonight, too. 
I hope your package makes it to the recipient today. Good luck with that!

I was done with Winter before it got cold this time around. *sigh* Mother Nature isn't listening when I suggest an early Spring would be nice...

I'm on the early spring bandwagon too. We haven't had much snow but it's been really cold.
Hope you can get out for your prescriptions .
The pup is done and looks and smells good.

As the day wears on, my vision is getting blurrier so Pretty said I can't drive, even if I still think I can see well enough to drive the two miles and back again. I'll have to try again tomorrow.
I'm glad your pup is done. I hate waiting for other people.
