How Long Will It Take ?

Yesterday was my husband’s birthday. I baked him a cake on Monday afternoon. It is a dark chocolate cake and he had a slice on his birthday eve. He had more cake yesterday his actual birthday. My son and I are eating low carb and will not be eating any of the birthday cake. This morning I saw that half the cake is gone. My husband had a slice for breakfast. I am wondering how many days it will take him to eat the whole cake ? The cake was large enough for our family to all eat for at least 3-4 days. My husband loves his sweets. Maybe a bit too much. How long would it take you to consume a whole cake ?

I don't bake if I ain't sharing. It would mold.

I’m sure that my husband won’t let this one mold.

In the old days I could put it away like nobody’s business. Today, I wouldn’t even have a piece. I like being thinner.

I totally get that. Nothing tastes good enough to mess up all the work and willpower that goes into getting healthy and in shape.

I’m not much of a sweets eater, so it would last me awhile. Then again, it sounds absolutely delicious!

A happy belated birthday to your husband! You and your son have great will power. Here, we split it in half . . . it might last us 2 days - maybe .

@TheHorse About a year. ----------That sounds like a long time but it kind of works because in a year, you'll have another birthday and get a new cake. So you never run out of cake that way.

Belated happy birthday to your husband. I don't like too much sweets so I can't consume a whole cake .

That must have been a really great cake for him to eat so much. Maybe he will lay off of it for a while now and slow down so that it will last. I am not a huge cake eater, it would take me a very long time to eat a cake.

It sounds so delicious! I couldn't eat a whole cake. Normally, I eat the frosting off and leave the cake part.

The frosting is my least favorite part of a cake. It is normally too sweet.

Since dark chocolate is good for your brain, it wouldn't take me long to eat a good for me cake.

Either I would freeze part of the cake if it were mine or, if it's something Pretty will eat, it will be gone in no time. I like cake but she LOVES cake. (Pretty will leave a slice of cake in the freezer if I've bothered to freeze some. )
