15 January - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from a frigid Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's 20 F and snowing. I had to check that out for myself. It's dark so I can't see the snow, but I can see the ground is wet. So, that's a positive note. 
My plans for today were to get the notifications done and jump into my book. Plans have a way of changing.
I'm thankful for my day and the changed plans. I went with my next-door neighbor to the bank. She got clarification about charges on her bank account. After the bank we went to eat breakfast since neither of us had eaten yet. Then we got gas for her car. Since she's been taking me all over, I paid for the gas. With the gas rewards, she saved .20 per gallon. Gas was at $2.89 per gallon. She got it for $2.69. Then we headed for the grocery store. I needed bananas. They also had berries on sale so I picked up two pints of blackberries and raspberries. We left before 11 and got home after 2. It was a good day, even if it was COLD outside.
I'm thankful it warmed up enough for it to snow. We're not expecting more than a dusting. I'm just glad it's snowing.
I'm thankful I got the laundry done this morning. I still need to fold it and put it away. I'm glad it doesn't need ironing.
I'm thankful for a full night's sleep. I went to bed at 10 last night and woke up shortly after 6. My Fitbit said I got 7+ hours of sleep and took me an hour to go to sleep. It's been a long time since I had an 8 hour night. It felt good.
I'm thankful I could be here with you this morning. It's always good to see how you're doing in your world.
Okay, that's my day. Maybe tomorrow I can work on my book. I hope so.

I am thankful that I could well use my five days long weekend the way I planned it to be, relaxed but productive. I am thankful that my elder daughter could spend the festival with us. She is leaving for her college on Saturday morning. Thankful for a warm sunny day today after few days of clouds

@just4him I still have nightmares about driving on roads that could cause my vehicle to crash. I loved the rural life and yet started to dread the winter months when we could be trapped in our house or the chickens needed water and food and it was up to me to get to them. Snow is lovely to look at but it held consequences for me that challenged.

I'm thankful I'm inside a house again. I'm thankful for finding help to cover my travel trailer for the winter. I'm thankful I'm eating much better although not thankful for the five pounds back on from doing so. 
I'm thankful for an appt with an expert on writing genealogy so I can finally finish out the book I've been writing (I have a few blocks) and thankful for coffee. That may seem silly to some but it's something I look forward to each morning.

I know coffee is a must for many people in the morning. It's not silly.
I'm glad you're in a home now and no longer in the trailer. I'm glad you're eating better and sorry you gained weight. It will come off.
I'm glad you got help to write your genealogy.

I'm thankful for everyday with George. He drives me up a wall sometimes, but I love him. Not happy about losing two plates, but I'm thankful that no one was hurt and I was able to clean it up.

I am grateful for spending time with some of my colleagues at office. Usually I rush with one thing or the other but these are colleagues I see once in a while. I am grateful for the opportunity to help a colleague with his work and get it done better. Sometimes you get a good feeling for helping others. I am thankful to see it was a busy day. By the time I reached home and was having dinner , it was close to midnight. Well, just one more day and then it is friday. But then I have things to do as usual. Good to know how the day went for you. Take care!
