I was lucky to receive and advanced reader copy of the Forever Rule by Carrie Ann Ryan.
It's the first in an all new series and I have to say, what a start!
When a wrong number turns into your forever, so romantic.
So this series is actually a spin off of the Montgomery Ink Legacy series. These are actually Ford's brother who you meet in Best Friend Temptation.
And you'll see glimpses of Pheobe and Kane who you first met in the same series, His Second Chance.
Crap has hit the fan when a secret family is revealed during the reading of the will for the father of the Cage family and it seems the Dixons.
It seems that the man had a very busy life with a wife and not only a mistress but a whole other family.
This screws some of them up pretty bad.
For the head of the Cage family, Aston it's a whole new type of pressure. He never wanted to be like his dad but he didn't have to worry about it too much until he met Blakely.
Major problem.... Blakely is his new sister's best friend. Not to mention his feelings for her are from from friendly and now he's considering how much like his father he really is.
Blakely is just a genuine, full of sunshine person. Probably one of the more understanding women that you'll meet...in a book anyway lol. There's not much that Aston does that she doesn't rationalize or forgive.
It's a good thing too because he screws up a lot. I honestly think he's the dramatic one in the book.
Now don't take it like there's only the one problem then everything is sunshine and roses.
Nope there's drama and issues. Blakely isn't a pushover either, she knows her worth so don't think that the forgiveness that she gives Aston comes lightly.
It's a great book and honestly she hasn't written a book that I don't like yet. She writes a beautiful world full of drama and humor. There's real issues and a few that may be a little far fetched but still great.
I would recommend it plus this can be read as a stand alone so if you don't want to read the other series, you're still good to go.

When I was younger I love visiting bookshop every payday to find good books, but now, I have so many pending books to read. Lol!
Enjoy your book, and have a great weekend.

@JordanLader Nora Roberts? I always saw that author, are you reading a romance novel? I think she is one of the famous writer before like Nicholas Sparks?

Thank you! It was an awesome book. I can't wait for the next one. The next one after I finish the Mirror by Nora Roberts is Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros

Sounds like a book version of a rom com. Probably wouldn't be my thing, but glad you enjoyed it.

I wonder how people (usually men) get away with having an entire other family. Sounds like a good book.
