Today's shopping trip down town. (17/1/2025)

I went down town shopping today. My weather app said cloudy with sunny spells, but I didn't see a sunny spell all day! But it didn't rain on me either, so that was good. I went to the toilet by the Cathedral first, then I went to get some more photos printed. I told the lady in there that the lady who was in there last time I went in said that I had to have 30 photos at a time. But the lady who was in there today, the one I usually see, said I didn't have to have 30 at a time and I could have 15 today and 15 next week like I usually do. So I selected my 15 photos. There was a new girl in there too. She was nice. She asked me if I'd selected my photos. The other lady said I always come with them ready selected. I said, I used to, but they've got a new app now on my tablet and when I've selected them, when my tablet goes on stand by, when I go back to them they've been unselected and I have to select them all over again. Anyway, the new girl sent the photos to their machine and they started uploading. She told me to let her know when they were uploaded. They uploaded really fast today. I said, Oh, they're done! That was quick! So the lady made sure the composition of each picture was good, and that no-ones head had been chopped off, and then she set them off to print. While my pictures were printing, the new girl ticked off my card to say I'd had 15 photos in Jan. When my pictures had all printed, one of the ladies gave me an envelope to put them in. All my photos today were of Wynne Evans! (Some with other people, but they all had him on!) After that I went to Holland and Barrett and got 3 packets of the raspberry liquorice again. They were on 3 for the price of two again, which was good. When I went to pay for them, the lady there asked if I'd like to donate 50p to Comic Relief today, and I thought, why not? so I said yes. When I'd payed for those, it was off to the down town Tesco. I got 2 lots of strawberries and some bananas. My Mum wanted some decaf coffee, so I went to look for that, but they didn't have any. In fact, they didn't have much coffee at all. There were two jars of Gold blend, two jars of something posh in a net and a jar of expresso, and that was it. I payed for the strawberries and bananas, which came to £7 exactly, and then I went off to Iceland. (The shop not the country!) As I was approaching Iceland, I saw that the Eden wine bar was closed. This is what used to be the pub we used to go in. There were drapes to the windows, and there was a sign in one of the windows saying "Under New Management." So that didn't last long! I went into Iceland and got 2 Chinese Style Chicken currys, 1 sweet and sour chicken and a paella. Then I went to look and see if Iceland had some decaf coffee. They did, but it was a massive jar! It cost £7.95! So I thought, No. My Mum's not going to want that. So I went and payed for the other stuff, and it came to £10 exactly. So then I went home. I went to the toilet by the Cathedral first! When I got home my Mum and Syd were out. Syd had taken my Mum to the hairdressers. She usually goes on a Thursday but her hairdresser wasn't feeling well yesterday so she went today instead. So I left her shopping list, club card and change on the coffee table. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my lunch. When my Mum came back from the hairdressers and saw me sitting there eating my lunch I don't think she could quite believe it! Anyway, I told her about not being able to get the decaf coffee, and she agreed she wouldn't have wanted the massive jar! Dw i'n hoffi coffi. Actually, I'm not that fussed with coffee!
