Blessing

Unexpected blessing. I told my husband two days ago that we were running out of rice. Although, both of us do not regularly eat rice, we still needed to buy because our daughter loves eating ride porridge in the morning at least 2 to 3 times a week. While we were at the grocery store yesterday, he mentioned, " I think we forgot something". I did not reply. Rice is expensive, but it is a necessity. This morning I emptied the rice dispenser so I thought we should buy on my payday. Guess what? After attending the retirement mass of our parish priest, as we were heading to the parking area, three ladies handed us three kilos of rice. What blessing, indeed! These are given to the attendees. We were also asked to eat lunch witj the prieat but we had to leave early because I have a part-time job at 1 p.m. Do yo have similar experience?

Here, rice is dirt cheap. Probably one of the cheapest foods in my pantry. I can buy a 5 pound bag of it for under $4. We eat a lot of rice in our house.
