This morning I had a bath! Something I haven’t done in quite a while, most days I just have a wash and then shower once or twice a week (more if I’ve been doing something particularly dirty or sweaty). But today I felt like I just needed a good soak. The theory that showers are better because they use less water is a complete myth, unless you spend 4 minutes or less in the shower that is, so I didn’t need to feel guilty about water use. I put in enough hot water to cover most of me, then reclined in the warmth with a book; lovely. Then I gave myself a good scrub all over with some divine mango-scented body scrub. It's easier to wash my hair in the shower, but it's certainly not as relaxing.

Oh yes! I've always enjoyed baths, hardly ever have a shower. And there's nothing more relaxing than a good soak in hot water, especially in an old-fashioned clawfoot tub with a slant back.

I don't usually have time these days at the right time of day to enjoy a relaxing bath. When we had really hot weather though I did have a short cool bath before bed.

@fleura Oh how I wish I had a bath in which to wallow. It did wonders for my back when we had one.

Showers are convenient but it's a shame not to have the option.

We don't have a bath in this house but we didn't have too many baths when we did have one. However, they were great to soak in after a day of physical activity.
