How do you feel about the US banning Tik Tok?

Interestingly, the chief of Tik Tok will be at Trump's inauguration. It may come back though, as they are working on a deal including the possibility of an American owner. In the meantime, some of the traffic and presenters have migrated to another Chinese owned app. I never thought I would say this, but I will miss Tik Tok while its gone. I thought it was a fun app. I tried to not go on it too often though UPDATE:. As breaking news I just read that with an executive order Trump is going to delay the ban, to give them time to work something out that doesn't compromise national security.

The only thing I know about it is that people make videos where they dance/twerk and cuss, according to one user. I have Facebook, and I barely use that.

It's more than that. It was like that in the early days..personally not into goofydancing and twerking.

I never got on it, so I won’t miss it. It sure sent TikTok “influencers” into a tizzy though when the ban was announced.

Yeah, I think it did. Some of them have migrated to another platform.

I've never watched or used TikTok so I don't care if it's gone. Biden's administration tried to get the owners of TikTok to sell the site to an American but they flat out refused to do that. The Chinese owners dared them to ban it because they thought the Americans who use(d) it would create too much of a stink so the government wouldn't ban it.

It's possible it might still end up in American hands

It is kind of like YouTube, but the videos are usually shorter for our short attention span these days

I liked tik Tok but wasn't heartbroken about the news. However, it's currently back up already

I saw someone on facebook say it’s already back up. I don’t use TikTok so it doesn’t matter to me but people are very angry on my Facebook feed.

Well, I guess they needn't worry. Papa Trump has them covered

I don't use the app, it doesn't affect me. Plus, I don't live in the US.
