It's Wynne Evans first day back on the radio after Christmas and New Year, and for the last two weeks he's been practising for the Strictly tour. So I sent a text saying that I hope he had a good Christmas and New Year, I had missed him on the radio and that I hope he was having a great time on the Strictly tour. I said I was sorry to hear about his brother, and I hope he was OK. I said I was having fun translating the book about him that's in Welsh, and I was having fun laughing at some of the lyrics of the songs he's sung. Then I finished my text by saying Sending love and hugs. From Sharon in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
I sent the text. Then I waited. I did something online. Then my phone rang and I answered it and the lady said she was so-and-so from the Wynne Evans show, and was I available to have a chat with Wynne. And I said yes. She said what have you been doing this morning? and I told her I'd had pizza for breakfast! She said, What? and laughed. I said, yeah, because I was fed up of cereal! I told her it was just a slice of pizza. I cut it up into 5 pieces and have it every week day, and on weekends I have porridge. The lady seemed quite amused that I have pizza for breakfast! Anyway, she said, OK, well, we're not promising anything, but we'll phone you back.
So I did something else online, and then the phone rang again, and I answered it, and the lady said, Have you got some time to talk to Wynne? and I said, yeah. Then she said we've got three minutes on this song, and then he's looking forward to speaking to you.
So I waited through the song. Then, when the song had finished, Wynne said something, read someone's text, and then said, Sharon! And I said, Yay! Or something! I can't remember what I said! Then he said something like, How ya doing babes? I said I'd missed him on the radio. Four whole weeks without Wynne on my radio! Then he said, What have you been doing instead then, Shaz? And I said, Well, I've been translating that book about you. And he said, Yeah, cos there's a book about me in Welsh. And I said, Yeah. I've stopped using the Google Copilot AI bot, and now I've moved to Google Translate. And there's been some funny translations coming up. Cos you know how on Google Translate it starts translating it while you're still writing the sentence that you want to translate. Well, one was Did you have a job when you were a dog? And Wynne said, Well, I was a dog only briefly, Sharon! Then I said, Another one was, Mark has been a spoon. But my favourite was when it said, Nay, I was a frog! Wynne said, Well, Google Translate isn't always accurate, Sharon. Cos when my brother went abroad they spoke Spanish, so I was trying to translate using Google Translate. I said I wouldn't want to learn Spanish, I'm having enough trouble with Welsh! And he said, I have trouble with English sometimes Shazza!
Then he said, So, what did you do on the weekend then Sharon? And I said, Well, I was supposed to go to Church but I had a tummy upset so I didn't go. He said, You've been skiving Church? And I said, No, I had a tummy upset! He said, Did you really, though? Cos he knows if you're skiving Shazza. He's looking down on you, and he knows if you're not telling the truth! I said yeah.
Then he said, Anyway, nice to speak to you Shazza. There goes Shazza. She's been skiving Church! Then I switched the phone off just as the lady was about to say something! And I cut her off! Sorry about that, whoever you are!
So, what are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

Yes, it is. I didn't really get to say everything I wanted to say, but there's always next time!
