I finished my jigsaw

Here's the picture that was on the box. You were supposed to use your imagination to work out the new puzzle.

@JudyEv I always start and do all the outside pieces first then go from there. I don’t think looking at the box would help me much. It just doesn’t seem like it would. I looked at the thrift store in town here to see if they had of these puzzles but they didn’t have any. I’m going to keep an eye out as I’d love to find one for my mother in law. If I don’t find any used I’ll buy her a new one when her birthday rolls around. I think that’s in April.

@JudyEv I asked because you are like two peas in a pod (lol)

He plays on his computer or with his photos. He reads quite a lot too.

@allknowing If we do 'stuff', we mostly do it together but he doesn't like jigsaws.

I wrote about it first on January 6 so that's 12 days but I had some days where I didn't do any at all.

It was certainly a challenge.

One of the last parts I did were the girl's very colourful pants! You can't see them very well in the photo.

Yes, I found it much harder than the normal ones.

I had a lot of trouble with parts of it, especially the girl in the colourful pants.

I was a bit surprise how quickly it came together at the finish. I had sections done but couldn't work out where the sections fitted in the overall puzzle. But I got there in the end.

It is indeed but with computer games rather than board games.

It's meant to be like that. The box gives one picture and you have to use your imagination about how the scene would look in 20 years time. That was for this puzzle. Another one I did, you were told the vet had stopped doing house calls and the picture was how he imagined his waiting room. The animals were sitting there quietly. You were told to imagine what actually happened. When the puzzle was finished a big ram had charged through the room and there were animals everywhere.

@JudyEv ok that makes sense. Sounds like a fun way to do a puzzle even if you have no picture to go by., I would be excited to see the finished picture to see if I had guessed correctly. I haven't done a puzzle in many years but a few myLotters have been doing them and I'm thinking I should get back into doing jigsaw puzzles again.

I've started another 500 piece one now. It's of a thatched cottage in a garden.

Haha. I hear what you're saying. I like doing the online ones too.

They fill in time for me if I get tired of reading or whatever.

I started on the 6th and finished on the 18th but had a couple of days where I didn't do any. It is large. I'm now doing one about half the size.

@arunima25 I've finished the next one now. Still have two more to do but I'm in no hurry.

@JudyEv That's definitely large. I am sure that you get better with practice and new one should be easy.

@grenery8 I've given up on a couple but mostly I've been able to finish them.

I've done a 500-piece one since then.
