I really like this vivid orange. Lifts up my spirit in this gloomy winter. Cause i have a plastic tablecloth, i thought placemats were good for me. I had green and silver and now these ones for food. Not bad, right?

I do use plcemats on my dining table. It helps much not to stain my dining table. It is easier to handle and clean the placemats than having stains or spillovers over the table. I think most houses still uses them so that there is minimal cleaning to be done on the dining table and tea table. The big advantage is convenience especially when we are serving things hot . I do use light coloured animal themed placemats but then I never gave much importance to the colours of the placemat when I bought them. Good to know your thoughts. Have a wonderful day ahead!

I have never used coasters. I have always had tablecloths. and ever since I went to Mexico the first time, I have tablecloths I bring from there that have the Aztec sun god in it.

We call them "placemats". We have a very similar one except they are beige (my daughter would love your orange ones!). I put on a cloth tablecloth on our dining table, so those placemats save the it from getting too many stains - clearing crumbs is easier too .

As you probably know, I make coasers. But they're too small for food.
