Now that I missed out on my birthday trip to Japan, my travel friend and I are talking about our next several trips, which have already been planned, booked and on the books for a while, but we're now starting to add some more details to them like the shore excursions and add-ons.
March is my next trip, but it's a small one so let's move on to talk about May 2025 where I will reach my 100th country (I hope!). I was scheduled to accomplish this goal in May but then the loss of this month's trip took away 3 countries. I've recounted my list and I think I can still do it.
May is our cruise from Dover, England to Iceland. Here's the itinerary:
Sun DOVER (LONDON), ENGLAND
Mon sea day
Tue BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND
Wed sea day
Thu SEYDISFJORDUR, ICELAND
Fri AKUREYRI, ICELAND
Sat GRUNDARFJORDUR, ICELAND
Sun REYKJAVIK, ICELAND
Mon HEIMAEY, WESTMAN ISLANDS
Tue sea day
Wed KIRKWALL, ORKNEY ISLANDS, UK
Thu sea day
Fri DOVER (LONDON), ENGLAND
Okay, that's the cruise part. My two new countries there would be Northern Ireland and Iceland. Then after we arrive back to Dover we would fly over to Brussels, Belgium for a couple of days (a new country to me).

You are correct on both. We were originally supposed to take a cruise that went to BOTH Iceland AND Greenland but then COVID struck so that got cancelled. Then two years ago we took the ill-fated cruise that got redirected by a hurricane and never made it to Greenland.

@looeyville What a pity I’ll not be here in May to welcome you.
