Batten down the hatches, here comes Éowyn.

All schools here have just been ordered to close tomorrow because of wind. Storm Éowyn is going to lay waste to all of Ireland from 07.00 hours until 14.00 hours precisely. It is expected that there will be a lot of damage to property and a lot of untethered objects will be hurled into the air and life is in danger. My little corner is always windy, and all we can do is sit tight till it passes, just like intestinal wind.
What do you do to protect yourself from wind?

Well, to protect myself from my husband's wind, we sleep in separate bedrooms. Hahahahaha.

I'm not sure how I feel about all these storm warnings. In the 'old days' we just got stormy weather and we dealt with it. I suppose being warned in advance gives people a chance to plan whether they need to make a journey or not, and to tie down their trampolines etc., but on the other hand it just makes us all worry about what's coming!

Not too much you can do other than batten down the hatches and remove anything that could potentially fly around. I wonder if any of this ultra cold weather will blow over there?
