It's almost 10 AM and I am just now cooking up breakfast and brewing up my second cup of coffee.
I did go to the grocery store and pick up some wine, cheese, and frozen dinners (my staple). Now I can relax for a bit.
My apartment (would I call it a "flat" if I lived elsewhere?) faces East, so I generally get up with the sun.
This morning I slept in until about 8 AM, and then got my day started. It is sunny and cool out there.
My breakfast, you ask? Bacon and and egg with some melted sharp cheddar cheese on top.
What time do you usually wake up in the morning? Are roosters involved?

Usually I wake up around 7 am. It can be earlier or a bit later depending on when I went to bed or if my husband is off.

I do wake up around 6 in the morning. I do have my morning routines after which I have my bath . Next would be the breakfast and then change of clothes and leave for work. My usual breakfasts on weekday are simple .It could be breakfast cereals or bread and jam or anything which is simple and easy to make. Rarely I have a heavy breakfast except for the weekends. The weather here is cool . There are times I have overslept and had to rush for work. 2 days ago, I did oversleep and well luckily I was able to make up for the time. Enjoy your breakfast and have a wonderful day ahead!

Do you find it tough to take an early bath during the winters?
Is heavy breakfast of Paranthas or something like Dosa or something else?
Just curious!

I am usually up by 8 AM however with the cold I did not want to leave Freddie's side who was keeping me warm and purring in my ear so I slept until 9:15. Then by the time I got to my PC I thought the day just flew by, Before the cold snap I kept hearing a rooster. Now alas no rooster. How is Kittie doing? Freddie and Tish send their sincerest meows,

I get up at 5:30am during the week when I'm working. On days off and weekends I get up whenever my body decides it has had enough rest. It isn't uncommon for me to wake up earlier than I'd like because my body is on the weekday work schedule. I typically get up, use the bathroom, get a drink, eat something, and then head back to bed for another hour or two.

Being I'm retired & don't have a set time to get up
unless it's for a dr's apoint or going out to do bills
I most the time get up between 8-10 depending on
when I went to bed that night.

Recently it seems like I've been getting up around 11 Am, in time to give my husband his morning meds.

@TheHorse LOL I am, but when I climb into bed between three and five AM, I feel justified. My husband has adopted my habits.

@TheHorse I walk to a jungle 5 kms from my house at the outskirts of my town. You can see some small animals there; such as; jackals; foxes; monkeys and hyaenas there.

My sleep is based on when my son sleeps, how he is that day, and so on and so forth. I might still be awake at 5, 6, or 7AM....and then he will finally rest so I try to rest, too. It's just the way life is right now for the most part. We moms do what we need to do.
No roosters here, but we do have a very large flock of geese that often come up on my patio in nicer weather...but now it's too cold for them out there.

I think the fact that they are a protected species has sort of backfired. Now there are just way too many of them so they are territorial.

I've been waking up early, and 8 AM is very early for me. Besides, the time I wake up and the time I get up don't match. So I wake up at 8 AM, then I get up when it's almost 9.

@TheHorse Both!
I think I literally can't get out of bed as soon as I wake up, but then it takes me more an hour to fully wake up, so I also walk around in a daze.

A rooster was involved several years ago, but I don't keep chickens any more. These days, the cat wakes me up. He thinks it is a good idea to meow in my ears in the wee hours of the morning. I am usually up by five, but sometimes I sleep in till seven. I have never eaten a breakfast of bacon and egg. Usually, it is dosa, idli, or chapati over here with a variety of spicy side dishes. And of course, black tea to drown it. :)

Well, that depends. Sometimes, I wake up after 12 and sometimes between 7 to 9. It just depends on my health. Also, who are the people in the picture? Is that you and your daughter?
