I Found Our Boats!

Today I wasted an hour or so and went to the annual Sport, Boat, RV, and Vacation Show. It was generally pretty boring, although going in the middle of the day in the middle of the week is the perfect time to go.
While I was there I found boats for both me and @NJChicaa . I guess you can tell which is which.
Yes, they actually have a “Margaritaville” “License to Chill” boat. NJ can use that to cruise down to Cozumel.
As for me, I don’t like the big, flashy things, and did I find a boat that fits that! That sucker (on the right) is about as small as a boat can be: less than five feet long, “rigid inflatable,” and an electric motor. With something like that, it might take me a year or two to make it down to Cozumel to join NJ.
With the weather setting to improve so I won’t have to keeps the faucets dripping, it’s about time for me to take off. As usual, I have no idea where I’m going. But at least I found my dream yacht!

They didn’t have any “real” yachts on display. A couple labeled a “yacht,” but definitely nothing like you envision when you think of one.

That’s what that show is all about: “oh I wish.”

@FourWalls It should be fine in a pond!! Or lake even if not a huge lake.

I agree, in truth I wouldn’t trust that little thing in the pond on my uncle’s farm!

We have an inflatable row boat that seats two people. We haven't taken it out in several years. Pretty never liked it but a friend and I used to take it to the lake and float around in it all night while we visited and watched the stars... I miss doing that.

It might still be fun... but I'm not always steady anymore and Pretty won't let me go anywhere without her. She refuses to go to the lake anymore.

We rarely do, but I suppose you’ve seen the news that our far southern Gulf area had more snow this week than Anchorage, Alaska!

Oh, heck...if I were you, I would just go with NJChicaa in the Margaritaville boat...you would get to Cozumel a lot faster, even though that tiny floater looks like a lot of fun!

The problem about those boats is they don’t have a toilet. At least NJ’s boat has room for a cassette toilet….

Very true! Plus, I think if you take it to Cozumel, it might be a bit safer! Although the tiny craft would sure be fun!

Truthfully, I do, too, but I do appreciate the contrast of their sizes.
BTW, where the heck have you been all day, acting like the site’s been down?!

I agree. As I said to someone else, I wouldn’t even want to try that on my uncle’s little pond on his farm!

I'd take the big 1 & turn it into my house boat & cruise around
where ever I could go & just enjoy the life on the water.

I like the hillbilly ones that have a towable RV on a pontoon.
