Grumps gave me anxiety

It’s three days before a point in the month I get extra emotional and my anxiety gets worse. So they aren’t totally to blame but the two guys in my house being such grumps this morning set my nerves on edge.
My husband called his mother to take our little girl to visit. He asked if I wanted to go I just said no. He didn’t ask for a reason so I didn’t offer one.
I thought I could use this time to destress. I have a lot of laundry to get done today and if I went there I’d have to visit when I didn’t feel chipper enough to visit and I’d be even farther behind on the laundry.
In between cleaning I am myLotting and reading. Reading is the best way for me to destress.
My cat discovered me alone and came to cuddle with me. I’m almost never alone lying down so he was so excited to cuddle with me. You can see him looking up at me admiringly in the photo. It was adorable!
He doesn’t come near me to cuddle when my little one is around. I decided I will skip getting back up to finish laundry for now and skip vacuuming the rest of the floors for now to cuddle with my cat.

@Daddyevil it is nice. I was hoping he would come cuddle with me and I got lucky. I’ve about reached my limit of being able to stay in one spot. I get to antsy and uncomfortable. However I am getting much closer to finally finishing the Christmas book I started over a month ago

@shaggin I'm glad you were able to stop and cuddle for a little while, anyway.
Even with not being able to see well enough to read about half the time, Kindle says I finished 91 books last year. I've finished one this year and am half way through with another. When I can read, I tend to read fast. It helps when I'm really enjoying a book/series.

@shaggin Nope. They're just books I chose to read. I get them free from Amazon or from other companies online.
I used to read more when I worked all the time. Any breaks and lunch I had, I was reading.

Kitty cuddles might be just what the doctor ordered to help ease the anxiety too. I've read that purring is supposed to be therapeutic.

@nonersays actually noises other people enjoy really bug me. I don’t like white noise. He is keeping my legs warm for me now but my toes are going numb.

@Fourwalls he came to greet me when I was sitting on the couch for a few minutes tonight. I thought he would cuddle down with me but nope he hopped down and went out. I’m sure it was because my little one was in the room.

@RasmaSandra Monday was worse but hopefully the rest of the week will be better. It’s 10:35am and my little one is still asleep next to me. She will be up late tonight due to that but I just want to relax and lay here.,

@snowy22315 it is relaxing I feel much better. Although the cat has moved from my arms to my legs some time ago and my feet are going numb . I’m almost finished with my book then I will get up.
