The worst chore in the kitchen

There is nothing that I like doing in the kitchen except may be trying out new dishes with help from the maid with chopping, washing etc. Sometimes when the maid turns up late I have to watch the milk boil - the worst chore ever. While I am doing that my mind is on my computer waiting for responses, comments on my myLot activity I rushed today to see if I there were any and when I returned the milk had boiled over You kow what I mean? What's yours?

Oh that is horrible. I hate most things to do with housework. I don't mind doing dishes too much or laundry. Hate cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming floors.

@allknowing I used to not mind, but over the years with working, commuting, etc. it gives you little time to stay organized and do it all. Now, I don't care. We are both retired, so just going with the flow!

Milk boil? Interesting because I do not boil my milk. I really hate to wash the pots after I cook them as they have stains that could be very difficult to get rid of.

@id_peace We have stainless steel vessels and with proper scrubbing it disapp0ers and jully well otherwise milk will spoil if heated in the vessel that has dirt.

I know exactly what you mean. That is why when I cook, I make it a point that I just cook

I got a step tracker and am currently aiming for 10k steps a day; if I had to watch something boil, I'd walk around the kitchen table so I could get the steps in while staying near the stove. But yeah, being somewhere else entirely would be much better in such case! Yet the worst kitchen chore for me would be cleaning the kitchen, washing dishes comes second.

@allknowing It really is, most people seem to give a clean home, clean clothing and good food for granted.

Well the worst chore for me is washing the dishes. Here in the Philippines dishwashing machine is never a trend, and getting my hands wet and to hold such rough sponge is so not good. I don't know if it's just me, but that's what I really feel. I'd rather wash clothes than wash the dishes

@Namaco21 May be after washing the dishes you can apply cream on your hands.

@allknowing I tried that, but it's also uncomfortable, I don't really like the texture of rubber nor plastic.
