Yesterday was a little bit crazy. Fist fight? Sabotage? All male staff! First thing in was a morning cashier that has been there for a while decided she wasn't going to listen to the office manager on shift, she asked me to make her stop rebooting the register. Since I'm new and this one cashier thinks she knows it all, I didn't bother with her and went straight to the top, the general manager, I told her of the disrespect and like a bull dog she was on it, then put her on another register , gave the one office manager her register to man if needed, this cashier hates not being on number one. Bam! A customer came in, a regular that had been caught shoplifting in the past, with a so called purse as big as an overnight bag. The general manager told me when she comes back tell her no huge purses allowed because they already told her, she stopped for a while but started it again, I did. After my lunch break a cashier told me her daughter called, she was pissed about me telling her she that. I was waiting for the daughter to " come in for me!" I'm an extremely kind person but I'm not a delicate flower, I will fight back, then call security. Later I had to call the general manager, she told me she took the complaint and she settled it. Why did I call the general manager at home? Sabotage? Maybe. Someone, while I was on lunch decided to mess with the cashier till. I only discovered this when a new male cashier got locked out of his register. I fixed it and let her know what happened, she told me how to fix it in the computer so I wasn't hundreds of dollars short at the end of the shift. I had an all male staff, only three women last night, another manager, an older cashier and myself. It was awesome! The guys didn't have any of the young ladies to impress and did their jobs perfectly! Another day in paradise. Ever had so much fun at work? Lol
