It All Comes Down to the Shoes

I've been feeling as though my current athletic shoes weren't doing their job lately even though the treadwear on the bottom looked perfectly fine. They might be 5 years old. I had two exact pair that I bought on sale pre-covid at Academy Sports.
I've had another pair in the back of my closet that I bought similar to that same time frame but had not yet worn. They were different. They were trail hiking shoes as opposed to running shoes.
So I got down the unworn pair today and wore them to lunch and oh boy what a difference I can tell on my feet. So much more spring, cushion, and support! Part of that I guess is the hiking trail aspect of the shoe, but apparently my two other pair were more worn on the inside than I knew.
Bottom line is I'm donating the two blue used pair which are still in very nice shape and starting to wear the trail hiking pair.
Your body really does depend on a good pair of shoes and support.
Photo is stock photo of a generic pair of athletic shoes.

I’ve been looking for some new tennis shoes. Can’t find any to my liking.

These unworn pair I found in the closet are Merrell's. The ones I just bought online coming Friday are Skechers.
