The first time I heard of this years ago when someone asked me to buy it at the pharmacy, I was confuse as to why would I buy that at the pharmacy? Years after, I also buy them for myself when my throat itch. I wonder why they named it like that but this one do better than Strepsils or any local lozenges I know of. How's your day going?

Fishermen's Friends have been around for a very long time. A lot of people like them for sore throats and colds.

I have never had or seen the lemon ones The story goes that they are strong enough to help with the sore throat of arctic fisher men and so are their "friends".

oh okay, I did not know the story but I was thinking of those fishermen aboard the boats for days that might have itching throats and that this works for them. We have lemon, orange, cherry, and menthol. Those are the common flavor I can find here I think. My favorite is lemon

I have heard those are very good, but also expensive. I had a friend who used to buy them at Amazon and all of a sudden the price went up to some crazy number, almost $20 for one bag. She asked us all to look locally for her with a better price and she would reimburse us for cost and shipping.

@rakski That is very reasonable! I think they actually had a typo on the price because it was so off the wall!!

They call it that because fishermen are out in the wind, gales, and rain doing their work to get money from fishing and they have discovered that these drops help them as they often get sore throats, I have heard of it before but never tried it, My day was busy with posting and writing online,

I have never tried those. They seem strong, and I don't like strong things.
