I went shopping down town today (Thursday) instead of tomorrow (Friday) because my weather app predicts rain for tomorrow, and I didn't want to get caught in the rain. My Mum gave me her shopping list, club card and money and then went off to the hairdressers. I went out shopping before they came back from the hairdressers and I got back after they'd gone off to the luncheon club, so I had a bit of peace and quiet. I went to the toilet by the Cathedral first. When I got there the door was closed, so when I opened it I tried to ledge it open with one of those door stop wedges, but it wasn't working. Two other ladies came in behind me and I told them what I was trying to do and I said it wasn't going to work. I went to the toilet and when I was in there the other ladies managed to wedge the door open. So when I came out the door was open for me and I didn't have to struggle to open it again, because it's a big heavy door. Then I went to the photo expert shop to get some more photos printed. I chose my photos and the lady sent them over to this machine by Bluetooth. But after the first photo had uploaded it froze on 9% for the second photo. The lady said the machine had crashed and I should choose my photos again. So I chose my photos again and she sent them off by Bluetooth to another machine next to the one that had crashed. This one uploaded them really quickly and while they were printing the lady crossed off my card. That's all my photos printed for January now. There's only February to go now, and then I'll need to buy another card. After I'd finished in the photo expert shop, I went to WH Smith. I wanted a copy of BBC Music magazine, and I really wanted this one because it's got a free CD of Shastokavitch with it. So I managed to get that, which I'm very pleased about. Then I went towards the till where my said the batteries were. She wanted one lot of AA batteries and one lot of AAA batteries. So then I went to the till and put my magazine and the batteries on the counter, then I asked for 8 1st class stamps aswell, for my Mum. The lady who was infront of me came back and said she'd forgotten her walking stick, so I moved out of the way so she could get it. I said, I've done that before too. After I'd paid for the things from WH Smith, I went to the down town Tesco and got 1 lot of Strawberries, a box of Alpen cereal with no added sugar for my Mum, some kitchen foil and a double packet of regina blitz kitchen roll. And after I'd paid for those I made my way to Iceland (the shop not the country!) From there I got a Chinese Style Chicken curry for Syd, a sweet and sour chicken for my Mum, some paella and 3 packets of the sea bass for me because they are 3 for £10. And after I'd paid for those I headed for home. I came home round Stowe Pool as usual, and it was only when I got home that I realised I hadn't been to the toilet by the Cathedral! My mind must have been on other things! I went to the toilet when I got home instead. When I got home I put Mum's change, shopping list, club card, stamps and batteries on the coffee table, and unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my lunch. My Mum has got to go to the doctor's again this afternoon to have her legs dressed. Stuart from Church is coming to fetch her nice and early at 4:00pm. I don't think her appointment is till 5:00pm, but then they've got to find a parking space and my Mum walks really slowly, so they've got to leave plenty of time. Syd is going too because the doctor wants to have a chat to him about washing Mum's legs, and making sure she puts her feet up and goes to bed at night. Anyway, what are you lot getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

@sharonelton What a palaver with the facilities. Impeded access to a lavatory is most inconvenient and potentially unpleasant. I went to the library but did a squad of little old ladies who are all quite hard of hearing. They shouted at each other in their knitting circle about constipation and the weather. I didn’t stay long.

@sharonelton Evidently not. And they don’t know that discussing constipation in public at the top of one’s voice is bad form.

@xFiacre That must have been a riveting discussion to listen to!

Thank you very much. The outside door is a big heavy door. Those toilets are in an old stable block that was used when Lichfield was a coaching town. Oh, dear! Didn't they know you are supposed to be quiet in a library?

Usually weekly on a Friday, but the forecast for tomorrow says rain so I went today instead.

Yes, I know, but she's not very good at doing that. She's got another couple of appointments with the doctor's next Thursday.
