Yep, only that form here. I mean, i got used to it to one extent but i like to feel my fruits. I mean, like this, store can easily give me a few rotted ones.
I even heard that one lady said to another that price of a basket feels too expensive but, not knowing what to eat from the fruits, i took it and after almost a week, i still haven't eaten it yet. Being single is good in this kind of situations
Lots of vitamin c here but i also need to wait when the fruit is softer. I can't eat hard as rock kiwi. No way.
How about you?

I've never seen kiwis in baskets like that here in the US. They are usually in large bins for handpicking by the customers or packaged in plastic boxes.

@grenery8 I hate the rotted ones that hide at the bottom!

Nope, we can always buy a few or a kilo. We are not required to buy a basket, and Filipinos are very strict with what they buy specially my mom, she will always bring back the rotten ones to the store. And all the market sales person can't do anything but to give her fresh ones. Lol!

I'm not a fan of buying fruits in baskets either. Lately I've only had bananas, I also like waiting for them to become softer and sweeter. My dad often complains I'm letting them rot because he sees brown, and I'm like "nah, they're still hard, they can wait some more".

@grenery8 Leave them to me!
When they are very ripe they're easier to crush and use in recipes, that's usually my goal except I always end up eating them earlier.
