Mexico Beach, that is.
Instant update time. My trip to the next state park is taking me along US 98, which is right on the Gulf in places. This is also an area devastated by Hurricane Michael a number of years ago. I’m having lunch in Port St. Joe and checking up on everyone here on myLot.
The photo is the Gulf of Mexico and Mexico Beach!

BRRR! That water looks COLD! Did you stick a toe in to check it?
It's raining in my part of Missouri but 45F. It's supposed to be raining off and on all day and tonight the forecast is calling for wintery-mix... But still 40F so it shouldn't stick.

The water buoy reports say the water temperature is in the high 50s. I’ll take their word for it.

Most people just say “the Gulf,” because we’re lazy, including in our speech. That’s probably why we dropped the “U” from all those words.

I made like Elvis with that memo….I wrote upon it, “return to sender, address unknown, so such number, no such zone.”

Beautiful picture, whatever it is called. I am too old for all these name changes, but not as old as the person who is making it up as he goes along.

Nice, I have been in that approximate area before. In the 80's and 90's I went to Florida almost every winter. I haven't been now for awhile though.

This is the time of year I love to be here. It’s not crowded and it’s not too hot. Glad you’ve been there. It seems they’re recovering well from Michael back in 2018.

I’m not in Mexico, the country. It’s a town in Florida called Mexico Beach. I’m sure our president wants them to rename the town.

That's a pretty picture. My family when I was younger regularly went to New Smyrna Beach Florida on the Atlantic coast for family vacations. Have you ever been there?

The trees are still stripped. The area in Port St. Joe that I was in seemed to be in good shape.
