Bell Pepper Love

I grabbed a red bell pepper to prepare to cook. It was odd that something was rattling inside of it . When I cut it open, this cute, little "heart" came out ! I felt the love . I've seen double strawberries, cherries and even egg yolks, but never anything like this from a bell pepper. Do you ever encounter nature's oddities?

Yes, once... We grew bell peppers two summers ago on our front porch. Inside one of them was another pepper that almost took up the entire interior of the big pepper.

I have no idea! It was only about a half inch - there were no stems or anything - not sure how it was even attached inside. It could be a message . . . that maybe we need to spread more love in this world. Even red bell peppers need to be loved .

What an amazing thing ! The red bell pepper was pregnant with a little "heart" ! It is a good omen for this year as some put it here.

It was a surprise to see this come out of the bell pepper! Ah, perhaps I should think of this as a good omen - I had not thought of that.

I wish I could put it on a chain as a necklace . Too bad it isn't gonna make it for Valentine's Day. Yah, every now and then we'd get the double yolks too - but that hasn't happened in a long time. I think the main fires, around here anyway, are put out - thank goodness!

@rebelann The big ones are 100% contained - at least Palisades and Eaton. Thank goodness. We have all had enough of that. But this is only winter - and they say it's going to be a very dry year. I fear for the rest of the year .

I'm praying they are all put out. I did see on Bing.com that at least one fire has been contained which means it should be out before too long but I'm not sure if that meant they were all contained.

This was inside the bell pepper . . . maybe about a half inch in size. As someone said, it was pregnant .

Sure I do. Nature is odd all the way around. That is part of her charm, and you are loving yourself with good health.

Not everything is perfect, nor does it have to be - and right, it is part of the charm.

It was almost just in time for Valentine's Day . In most cases I just get plain ol' seeds inside.

When I picked up the red bell pepper, this little one was already loose as it was rattling inside. I'm not even sure how it was attached and growing.

That's very cute. I've had some odd-shaped melons occasionally but that's about all.

Ohhh, I've basically only seen the standard melons in the stores . . . surely in a harvest there would be some odd shaped ones!

@much2say that's definitely some message there. yes, strawberries are very sweet; i can see stores selling them even now but i don't want to eat them when it's so cold outside
