I haven't put a post up in a while & that's cause I
didn't want to bore you with the things I'm dealing
with when you have your own stuff going on.
But I thought I would share this with you & see
just what you think about it if this was your state
or in your neck of the world like it is mine.
BUT B-4 I share this with you let me fill you in
If you haven't heard this now your fixing to
but for the past few weeks I've been trying to
get a cheaper med (blood thinner) cause my
ins won't pay for the 1's the dr's put me on.
So I have been off them since about a month
I've called the dr's & my ins provider & all I
have gotten is the run around call this # or
do this & every where & every thing they have
said I've done & STILL haven't gotten anything.
No meds, no help, no answers, NOTHING ! !
so here I sit for good lord what & scrolling through
you tube & run up on a video that pertains to
our state & well lets just say I HOPE he's 4-REAL .
So with all that said I'll share the video with you &
you tell me what do you think about what it's about.
Cause right now I'm at a loss on what I can do
if any of you have any answers please share them

Been there, done that with hubby. The thing is, the newer supposedly better blood thinners that they all push are still under patent. It is hard to find them for less than $500 per month. Blood thinners did not agree with hubby in the long run, so it is no longer a problem. When he started getting some of his care through VA they would only give warfarin, and besides it being older, and cheaper, I learned that many of the new ones, if you overdose there is no antidote, and at least with warfarin it has been used in humans for over seventy years. They know how to manage it. My sister's heart doctor had her on Plavix, which is a somewhat older anti coagulant, but if she would even accidentally bump her elbow she bled profusely. She went to an appointment to see him one day and had hurt her arm and it bled through the bandages, etc. He finally told her she could quit taking it. You do have to advocate for yourself, for sure. I hope you can get what you need.

@2ndchances24 I remember that one of my parents was on warfarin. I don't remember which one though.

Hum ? "warfarin it has been used in humans for over seventy years."
so it may be cheaper ? MAYBE I might just ask my dr about that 1.

At this point, I don't know what to tell you. Reguardless where you live, the insurance companies and doctors don't always agree on what a patient needs or doesn't need. It can be a bit of a pain sometimes.

That is one of several hitting the internet right now. They don't give you the formula, but want you to buy their specialized formula of ingredients. What's the difference than giving in to that vs. using prescribed medication? They are still taking your $$.

You hit the nail on the head "They don't give you the formula,
but want you to buy their specialized formula of ingredients."
"They are still taking your $$."
