Today is the fourth day of the Lunar Chinese New Year. After 2 days of public holiday, we went back to work on Friday. I was surprised to learn that both of my colleagues are on leave. I was still rushing for the tender. There were a lot of stress from there as we were expected to write a lot more than previous.
The promotion list for the year was out. One of my colleagues from my department was promoted. I am happy for her. I think that she worked hard enough and truly deserve it.
In the past, i would have thought that why I would not get that promotion. These days, my priority is different. Having that additional corporate title does not make me more of a person than I am already was. As such, I could now congratulate my colleagues in a more wholeheartedly matter compare to the past when I am doing it for the sake of doing it.
In the picture as promised, this is the ATM red packet that I am taking about with the money coming out of the machine. It is a pity that I could not post more pictures here or I could upload a video or I could give you the whole experience.

Yes what becomes more important when we are faced with survival is just each day lived.

Congratulations to your colleague. As I got closer to retirement, I stopped worrying about promotions and just enjoyed my work, my family and my friends.

@id_peace Sometimes, our work forces us to neglect other good things in our lives.

Ah yes, sometimes, it is fate and easier if you could accept that. Oh the ATM red packet is really fun.

Our niece's husband was promoted to quite a stressful position. After a few working in that role and making a success of it, he went back to being just one of the crew. The responsibility was making him old before his time. He is much happier now although he doesn't earn quite as much.
