Dag Nab You, Walmart

Will there ever come a day when I can only ever praise Walmart? Maybe, but I suspect probably not. Look, I like Walmart, don't get me wrong. Sure, their checkers are the slowest checkers on the planet, and their customer service ranks lower than Congress' approval ratings, but they do have what I want and need and, in many cases, at the best prices I can get them for.
So, they get a pass a lot of the time, just because, for whatever that's worth.
I went in today and saw they had avocados for 50 cents each which I thought was a fantastic deal, and even better than the 60 cents they were going for just a week or so ago. The wifey bought four of them.
Only, when we were rung out, I learned they were 70 cents each. I went straight to customer service and told Saria about it who seemed like I'd just interrupted her nap or something, and she sort of blew me off with a flippant, "I'll let someone know," before huffing and walking away.
It was her attitude that prompted me to take a picture and go back just to let her know I wasn't making it up. I never asked for a refund of the difference. I just wanted the sign fixed.
She seemed more angered by that act, "I told the team lead," she said and then rolled her eyes and walked away. I wasn't even terse with her on the initial contact or the second one. I simply said, "I don't care about the extra 20 cents, it's still a good price, I just wanted to make sure other customers who didn't bother to check didn't get misled."
I tried to call the store back a couple hours later to speak with a manager just to make sure the error was in fact noted and fixed, but after about 100 rings I just gave up.
Dag nab you, Walmart. Just do better, will ya? As a shareholder I have a personal vested interest in customers actually wanting to do business with you.
I'm retired. I could have gone back to check the sign myself and made a bigger stink about it. But then I'd just be labeled a Karen or something. Oh well. Let's just hope I see those extra 20 cents in my next round of dividends.

Walmart is my best choice of getting my groceries online and delivered to my house, Before I had preferred Aldi but that store goes through Instacart and then that service started charging me for gas to deliver items I found Walmart,

When it comes to most groceries, I still find Aldi and Ruler to have the most items I need cheaper. Of course, on my end, I don't do delivery, so I am able to take advantage of the savings. I really wish Walmart would improve its customer service though.

Maybe its a strategic "pick up bait" lol! But that is not a good one, what if the person who is buying is just had enough budget for every purchase, imagine the hassle?

No. You are not a bad person. I mean, do doctors with bad bedside manners gain more patients or have fewer patients? At some point, you have to be good at what you do if you want to be gainfully employed. At least, that's the way it should be.
They've clamored for $15 an hour. They've gotten it. You'd think they'd at least want to sell us on the idea they actually deserved it.

I hope so, too. I hate dealing with people sometimes. Got a walmart order today. Wound up with the ham George likes didn't remember putting it in my cart.

I would have told Saria that her attitude would have to go and asked to talk to a manager...

Sometimes it really is the principle of the thing. For some reason, the employees at our local Walmart who can be rude at times are the same ones at the parking lot pickup who are the nicest people in the world.![](/Content/images/emotes/shocked.gif)
