The Spiritual master, Sri Kotan Zerskoski, was distinguishing to his students about the heart, and the mind.
He said that the thinking mind does not really know reality, and only the knowing heart knows the true reality behind life.
Relationships are not created through thought, but only from the knowing heart, which is sensitive to others.
The thinking mind creates in us a false identity of who we are, and only by our living from our knowing heart can we gain the awareness to live from its connection to God, and to our soul.
Peace, tranquillity, wisdom, and truth, only come to us via our knowing heart.
Establishing rapport with someone involves us in heart connection, and a mind connection always remains cold, and distanced, keeping the two of you apart, whereas a heart connection brings one together, with the other, as one.
This quote from, Kabir Edmund Helminski, is from his book, 'The Knowing Heart: A Sufi Path of Transformation.'
“The knowing heart is receptive to the intelligence of Being and is guided by Being. When the heart is awakened and purified, it establishes a connection to Spirit; our finest and noblest capacities are unlocked, our sacred humanness is revealed. What it comes down to, the distillation of all wisdoms, is this: we can re-join our isolated wills with Love's Will through the knowing of the heart.”
It confirms nicely what I have said in my story.

We should see with our heart through to the truth behind all things.

I guess that any type of heart can be broken, and sometimes, it is hard to heal a broken heart.
Perhaps, only God can fully heal a broken heart.

For a person educated in the schools, colleges and universities geared to make him successful in careers what is mind? The brain enclosed in his skull. And what is heart for him, it's the organ inside his rib cage, pumping blood. The knowing heart is not physical , it's something sublime , spiritual and much higher than the mundane.

Yes, I agree that the knowing heart is not physical, but it can interact with the physical, just as consciousness can interact with the mind.
The mind is greater than the brain, and is in its way not physical too, as it is a part of the greater mind, the Universal mind too.
The educated person only educates his brain, and is more a rote learner than a real thinker. They are limited in their thinking.
Real thinking requires us to link into the heart factor too, as then we bring in truth, and the greater reality, to our thinking too.

Our heart/soul is connected to the universal soul.
That unravels the communion and we are then set for loving all without borders.
The state of the world reflects heart is ignored for all practical purposes with our world leaders gloating over false prestige and reeking with ego and hubris.

Some say our mind is part of the Universal mind too, and we take a portion for our own use in our life, like taking a bucket of water from the ocean, which is returned to the ocean, when we die.
Yes, heart is ignored, as well as soul discounted, as nonexistent even, and the mind is underutilised, when we try to use only our own bucket of mind alone, without connecting it to the flowing waters of full consciousness too.

@Shiva49 Yes, a candle of God still burns in each one of us, and in reality, it is the only light that we can ever see the right way with.
Our own light is not a real light, and shines on nothing, as it is delusional, and selfishly created, from egoic pursuits of self interest alone.
