When I was yet younger, I really love sewing however, I can only run the sewing machine and only able to sew and attach the cloth. I can't saw a dress. We had projects during the grade school such as panties, nightgown, apron, pajamas, pot holders, I guess these were all that we had made during those days.
I thought that I really like sewing but it's not for me either, I can sew. I had enrolled in sewing but only with little interest. I just realized that it was not for me.
Do you also have a hobby which you fancied but only to realize that it was not for you?

I can sew and, when Pretty, my daughter, was little, I repaired her clothing when she tore it on the playground at school. I did take the sewing class when I was still in school and made shirts for myself, and apron for my mom but sewing isn't something I really like doing. (I'm male, if you couldn't tell from my name here.
) I got teased at school for taking the sewing class. *shrug*
I also learned how to crochet and still do that sometimes. I made my daughter a blanket for her bed and a matching pillow. I still have the blanket and pillow in storage in our garage. Hang on, I might have a picture of the blanket on this laptop... I'll look and see.
Photo is mine. The blanket I made for Pretty and that is my daughter at 7 years old.

@pahak627 Thanks. I used to make all kinds of things and gave them to people for birthdays or Christmas. Now, I just make blankets when I have time to crochet.

You must be very good at sewing.
I learned a little but not much but it is something I have always wished I had time for.

Painting. Well, it could be for me if I kept on practicing or started with simple things and no expectations. But then it comes with a lot of cleaning once you're done, I'd rather cook at that point.
Sewing is something I'd like to try, as well as crocheting. But I'm not sure they're for me either.
