4 February - What I'm Thankful for Today

It's been a good day today. I have much to be thankful for on this mildly cold day in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA where the temperature is 17 F and feels like 11 F. I must be getting used to the cold. It feels warmer than that. I'm thankful I could go to my aunt's funeral this morning. It was good to see my cousins from every family on my mom's side of the family, and one I haven't seen in decades because he calls home in Kenya, South Africa. He's a missionary there. He came home for his mother's funeral. He talked to his mother before she passed, which was good. After the service we went to the luncheon where I embarrassed myself, getting my cousins mixed up with what family they belonged to. It was a good laugh. I had more than I needed to eat, but it was good. I'm thankful I was on hand when the elevator went into shut down mode with a woman trapped inside. I called the office and not talking to anyone except the automated, I hustled over there and talked to them. Maintenance was here by the time I got back. It was my second time over there since I got back from the funeral, so I guarantee you I have all my steps and a lot more. My first time over there when I got home turned out to be a blooper call. I received a call from the office on my way to the funeral. She hung up before I could answer. She realized she had called the wrong person and hung up before I answered. So, all was good. Yes, I have much to be thankful for today. It was a day of blessings seeing my cousins and my aunt and uncle. Above is a picture from another funeral of some of my cousins I saw today.
