Dinner Winner! What's for Dinner Tonight?

We just finished dinner here and I have to say it was delicious. I had run to the store earlier this afternoon to pick up a couple more of the rump roasts while they are on sale, and they only had one left. I scooped it up and continued browsing for something to cook for dinner tonight. I ended up choosing pork steaks. The smallest package had 3 big pork steaks in it and that is what I got. I seasoned them up good and put them in the oven and baked them for 50 minutes. In the meantime, I decided to try out the stuffing mix that I picked up from Aldi's last month to try it out. I got that all ready to go for when the timer got down to about 6 more minutes for the pork steaks to be in the oven. Next I put some green beans on. I have to say that I am in love with Aldi's stuffing mix. It was seasoned well and contained at least half or under of sodium vs. Stove Top Stuffing. All you can taste with Stove Top is SALT. Not so, with the Aldi's brand. Aldi's stuffing was also about triple the price lower, as it was either $.69 or $.79 for a box. Winner-Winner! Overall, a great dinner tonight that was super easy to fix and fast. And that brings me to this question...What did you have for dinner tonight? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

I like Aldi stufing as well, although I most buy Kroger from Ruler. But only because Ruler's stuffing was 85 cents and Aldi's was 89 cents. Now they are both 89 cents, so I will use either, either. We're going out of town for a couple of days and I don't want more leftovers than I already have, so I just made some chicken nuggets with macaroni and cheese and we had a salad on the side.

@porwest Your blood pressure should be fine, as long as you don't over do it on sodium every single day/meal.

@kareng No. You really can't. My cardiologist might complain. But I won't, and he can always up my dosage of blood pressure meds if necessary. lol

That does sound like a good food and it looks tempting. Happy that you got a good quality at good price at Aldi. It's morning here and I just had my breakfast of idli( steamed dumpling of fermented rice and lentils) , sambhar ( spicy lentils soup with fresh veggies and herbs) and coconut chutney. It was healthy, protein rich and delicious.

Sounds like a very tasty dinner, and you found your perfect stuffing mix too. That's fantastic! I had a light one, beetroot with cherry mozzarella.

I usually eat whatever my mama is in the mood to cook, but if I am working, I will eat whatever is offered for free if that is available or eat whatever takeout is available within the vicinity of my work location.

There’s a Chipotle across the street from the hotel, so I went over there and got the kids’ chicken taco.

I thawed some chicken tenders, cut them into nuggets, tossed in spices and flour. Fried those up and added french fries. Simple but so delicious.

Looks like you had a great dinner. I had veg burritoes for dinner. Ordered from the nearby Mexican restaurant. It was a change and thought of trying out Mexican cusiines for dinner. It was good and well there were options customized to the local food taste as well. Getting authentic Mexican food is tough here. We do have Taco bell and few other restaurants , but then they are all customized to local taste. Cannot blame them as that would be needed , to get them more business. Nevertheless , food was great and dinner was easy and tasty. Looks you are doing all fine. Have a wonderful day ahead!
