I always am contemplating this time of year what I am going to have on Superbowl Sunday, probably the biggest snacking day of the year. So many possibilities, and so many calories if you don't watch your step. I think I will go with a low carb pizza casserole, some stuffed breadsticks, veggie platter, chili cheese fritos with jalapeno cheese dip..and sugar free brownies made with diet soda. That isn't the ideal menu, but it sounds like it could be worse. Are you making anything special for the super bowl? Friend will be here so hopefully I can get him to take a few things home with him.

Your casserole and brownies sound good. Are you going by a recipe ?

The brownies no, just getting the SF brownie mix. The casserole yes. They have a lot of those zero or low carb pizza casserole recipes online. They are very good. I have made them before

@snowy22315 You know, I might do that. It’s a special occasion after all.
I’ll be rooting for the Chiefs. I wanted to see the Bills in the Super Bowl instead, but I’ve always liked the Chiefs, and I respect Patrick Holmes and Andy Reid. Plus, I kind of think this is Travis Kelce’s final year of being decent.
I won’t be sad if the Eagles win though. Saquon was classy in leaving the Giants, and Jalen Hurts went to OU one year, and Lane Johnson is an alumnus too.

@AmbiePam I just think the Chiefs have had their time in the sun, however, you know that Superbowl contest I was posting about where you could earn 50k for guessing right on the Sbowl..I voted KC 27 and Eagles 24. In reality though, I think the score might be a bit higher than that.

Reluctantly, the Eagles..you? What about picking up some wings from the store? I know the sauces might not be keto but it would be something good that is maybe not too far from how you want to eat.

Of course we could, but what's the fun in that? It's during dinnertime anyway, so you kind of need to.

I agree that the Superbowl does require a lot of eating. I'll be going to my daughters and we'll be having some traditional foods....ribs, wings, pizza and plenty of chips and desserts

Its the 9th. Not that much if you eat in a controlled way. The pizza casserole will last me all week, and then some and I will probably freeze some of the breadsticks. and send some of them and the brownies back with friend.

I won’t watch the Super Bowl but snacks would be a common interest! I know popcorn is high in volume which makes it low in calories somehow, but not a big fan. Diet soda brownies seem like a great idea, seen them before but never tried. I would also take sugarfree jello into consideration, for a fruitier twist.

Yeah, but not that much of a jello fan. I do eat it for a snack though sometimes as the calories are nil.

@snowy22315 Oh I see, I can't even find jello in stores here, while online I can barely find the sugarful kind. So I make my own with gelatin.

@somewitch They sell 4 packs of sugar free jello here or you can make it from scratch with the flavored ingredients.

Super Bowl is obviously a huge thing over there. I could easily live on snacks if I had the chance.
