@rakski Not today, but he still needs to drink a meal replacment shake. I'm supposed to put it down his feeding tube, but he wants the tube out, so I told him as long as he drinks them, then I won't use the tube.

I'm glad the med tech got the blood for the tests without hurting you. I know how relieved you must be.
The last time I was in the hospital, a nurse was trying to soothe my nerves by telling me she never had trouble drawing blood. (I wanted her to draw the blood from the back of my hand and she didn't want to "stick" me there.) She couldn't hit a barn with a rock and I finally told her I'd start screaming if she kept digging around in my arms for veins she obviously couldn't hit. Then she went and found someone who could extract blood without hurting me. Some people don't have a brain, in my opinion.
I hope your tests come out well. Good luck!

@rakski In the US, they aren't allowed to stick you again in the same arm so they try to "fish" with the needle and find the vein.... I normally jerk my arm away when someone starts fishing for the vein but that nurse trapped my arm between her and the hospital bed so I couldn't jerk away. I reported her and the doctor told me they had to find the vein. I told him it was patient abuse to dig around in the arm like that. He ignored me. I WILL start screaming if anyone ever tries to dig around in my arms again!

@DaddyEvil I asked the nurse to stop and find another one who knew what she is doing when I was at the hospital. However, in the laboratory and home service, I did not have much choice. But I am blessed today

I tried to make pancakes again, and they didn't look like abominations this time while not perfect. So I might share a photo later. Glad the blood collection went smoothly!
