As I have mentioned, I have had these things for almost a month. I got some new oil and new wood filler over the interweb, and finally gave in today and got some new 0000 steel wool at Ace Hardware for the final oiling stage. (The Gremlins got my last few pieces of steel wool a couple of days ago.)
I will attach a photo of the two speakers as of this morning. The top one is almost done. I left a little "circle" on there to show the contrast between the non-oiled and the oiled surface.
I hope I get another project in soon!

It's nice to have that done. I bet you will have another one soon enough.

@TheHorse They had a chest on Antiques Roadshow the other night. It was made of laburnam and they had cut the timber leaving the sapwood and heartwood. The two were quite different colours but made for a really lovely piece of furniture.

Yup, oiling does make a difference!
Sorry to hear about the gremlins, I wonder what they're going to do with that steel wool then. ![](/Content/images/emotes/whistle.gif)

@TheHorse What?!
They also managed to steal guitars? You got the high ranked type, need a deep cleansing. ![](/Content/images/emotes/ninja.gif)
