I hear birds cheeping outside my window. And there's morning sunshine. I hope we get a little warmer than almost freezing whille we are at it.
I'm working on being cheap this morning. I made a batch of hummus. I enjoy figuring out what I can do with a can of beans. How can I make this can of beans something that is tasty? Commercial hummus is loaded with oil. I don't find that I need any oil when I make the stuff. I do need garlic and lemon. Got to keep those vampires away.
I had enough oomph when I got up this morning to get a load of laundry going. But the clothes are going to have to sit in the washing machine for a while after they are clean. Fred big guy cat is insisting he must have a nap- right on top of my legs. Such a stinker. If I move the big lunk he probably will start up an asthma cough. Got to love my cats.

@kareng Tahini is just sesame seeds. I bought a bag of sesame seeds from a health food store cause it was cheaper. I dump some into the blender when I make hummus. You can use any nut you have in your cupboard when you make hummus. I have used sunflower seeds instead of sesame. Very tasty.

Talking about cats Peppie our cat loves to snooze where I normally watch TV. I do not disturb him but choose another place to watch TV. We are slaves of our pets is all what I can say

Pretty swears we've tried hummus... Either I didn't like it or she didn't like it... I don't remember trying it but we don't eat it now.
You could tell Fred cat to go put the laundry in the dryer...

@sallypup Well, I won't eat rice. I don't know what we'll have for supper tonight. Maybe a slice of cheese pizza.

@DaddyEvil Then put hummus on noodles. I'm making a cheese and hummus sandwich for lunch in a few minutes. Pizza sounds tasty.

@DaddyEvil When my daughter was pretty young she thought we'd made up the word hummus. It's garlic and lemon. If you don't like that combo you won't like hummus. Tonight's supper will feature brown rice and hummus goes well with that. Cheese does, too, but I really don't need to be a 500 pound blob with clogged arteries.....
