Are you city or country?

This picture was taken where my best friend lives, which is in the same city I live in, only she’s in a rural area. She loves the country. I live in the college town part, but I could easily like country life too. Although city life is so much more convenient.
Do you prefer city or country life?

Gorgeous view. I really prefer the country. I miss being away from others by a few acres. But getting medical help is not easy when you live in that scenario. I miss having a wood stove! Chopping and splitting wood is something I used to enjoy. Now I am a city person but my property leaves me with neighbors living near yet not too near. Only one neighbor is against my property line. The others are across the street. And best of all, there are trees here. Tall trees.

We live at the edge of a small city now but I was born and raised in the country. Pretty would have a cow if I wanted to move further away from the city. She wouldn't know what to do. (She hinted that she wants to move into a much bigger city but I'm fine where we're at. I told her when I can't drive anymore, she could decide where we lived.

We used to have a lot of hayfield around, but the developers are taking it up too fast for my taste. I wouldn't mind living in the country, as long as I had someone to drive me places! ![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

I always preferred living out in the country.
We lived in a tiny little village out in the country for over 20 years, and we used to say that it was God's country, just so quiet and peaceful, yet we all kept an eye out for each other, neighourly not in a nosey way.

I prefer the country. It's quieter and the air is cleaner

We shifted where I live now. It is a semi rural town and I love this place.

If I want to relax I prefer living in the province, but city life is more realistic to me that I need to get immune of if I want to thrive in the future. So I guess both.

I love having the best of both worlds like I had in Latvia, The city part of Riga was vibrant, busy and noisy, Then we went back to the suburbs and could walk in the woods,

I grew up in the military, so I was a suburb girl, but now I've been a country girl for over 50 years. I love it and we're still not so far from a small town, about 10 miles.

I am city man loving county life most times . I prefer country times to be at peace and social building and enjoy life little better. In city , it is all fast paced. There is no time to spend for next person , there are opportunities nd less social building or care. The community feeling or trust is less when we look at city dwellers. But then the standard of living is high and better than the country side. I ideally love to hve my retired life in country and not in city but then thats too futuristic to think for now.Good to know your preference. Have a great day ahead!

As a single person now I would much prefer to be living in the city, although honestly don't think I could handle the expense and stress of moving whether I want to or not. With a partner it doesn't matter so much where you live, but I would like to be a bit closer to the city to avoid the long drives I frequently have to take

That's cool - you and your best friend can visit each other and get the best of both worlds! As much I would love the country life, I think I would lean more towards city life - only because that's what I grew up in and that's what I am used to (rely on
). My friend got a really neat cottage with a field - I thought he moved far, far away because there is nothing like that here . . . but he moved just outside of L.A. He needed to go into the city to work (just a short drive away), but they wanted a rural feel for home - and they got that!

I've been a country bumpkin for the past 15 years. Its more rural here than when I lived in my previous house (suburbs not exactly city)
