Yesterday my youngest granddaughter, who is six, was diagnosed with Fifth Disease and got a day off of school. She went to the doctor and was told this is a viral thing and that it was on its way out of her system and that she was no longer contagious. That meant that she was back to school today! She was not a big fan of that verdict, especially since it was Friday. She told her mom on the way to be dropped off at school that "Next week, they start homeschooling!" I would be all with that if possible since so many illnesses are spread at school. Do you have any cute sayings or stories today to share about youngsters? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

What do you mean? You're still a youngster yourself.

Yeah, it's one of those childhood infections. As long as one has a strong immune system, they're good to go. Sad your granddaughter only got one day off of school. Poor thing!

Right! But she seems to catch everything going around at school, so she has had plenty days off!

@kareng Aww! And she'd rather be sick than at school, relatable.

I wish I could think of something. However, I do know kids have no filter.

Have to teach kids to wash hands or adults sanitize children play ground and regular checkup to avoid illnesses in kids.

Can't do that when they are in school. Impossible to avoid all contact there!

My niece and nephew get excited about snow days and sing on the spot snow day songs where they create their own tunes and lyrics, and forget an hour later. Lol!

You have to admit that youngsters are quite aware of what is going on around them!
