So sick I was in hospital for a week.

I had a rough week and a bit. Last Saturday and Sunday, not the ones that just passed, I was very sick. I wound up in emerg both days with high fevers and chest pain.
I tested positive for influenza A, and was told that in Monday, when my fever finally broke.
Tuesday early morning, my Fitbit vibrated a warning that my heart rate was too low. It sat at 47 for 10 minutes or more, and it got as low as 43.
So I called up a local health line and spoke with a nurse who said I needed to go to the ER by ambulance.
I was there around 4am. They did blood work, gave me fluids, did x-rays, etc. The afternoon doc, around 5pm, reassessed me and decided I needed to be admitted for my low heart rate.
For a day I was able to use the commode chair to get to the bathroom, but by Thursday I was stuck in bed, getting weak from not eating and my white cell counts being very low, almost depleted.
They had me on IV antibiotics every day for 3 or 4 days, and on Tamiflu for my entire stay.
I got dizzy if I tried to get up, so I never got up, and I slept a lot trying to fight to get my numbers back up.
This past Sunday, physio came in to get me up and walking. That was so hard because of the dizziness, and being so weak. But I did ok.
Monday was a repeat of Sunday with physio, but they were suggesting rehab instead of going home as I was still weak.
In Tuesday, I couldn't go as far as I had on Monday, my left calf was cramping up on me.
The resident told me I was being discharged home, and I voiced my concerns about not being ready to leave. I also said that physio wanted me to go to rehab.
She accused me of having anxiety about going home, and sent a psychiatrist in to see me. He said my concerns were valid and there was no anxiety on my part. Even he agreed that I should go to rehab.
But they were voted down. I was worried about falling at home because I wasn't 100% yet, not even close. I was ignored.
So they sent me home Tuesday evening. I called and left a message for patient relations, and voiced my concerns, I didn't make contact with them until today. But they will share my concerns with the proper department, to make sure this doesn't happen again.
So that was my last week and a bit, not fun at all.

@kris182_2000 Healing takes time. George and I are working through his stroke recovery, and he had it a little over a year ago.

It's more normal than it was. But I'm still monitoring it several times a day.

They seem to do that often. I'm still not recovered fully, but I'm slowly getting there.

I also had the flu and was in the hospital. That stuff is nasty. I had the Tamiflu also. I was sick for a week because no one could pick up the prescription. My doctor gave me some and I was sick for another week after that , taking the prescription and feeling sick and not hungry. Another week I tried to get better but the symptoms would not go away very quickly.
I hope you will be feeling much better soon.

I'm hoping so too. I still have a cough almost 2 weeks after being diagnosed with the flu.
