A new item on my bucket list

Do you have a bucket list? Mine previously included going to Scotland to visit a childhood friend, but too old for that now. But recently I've facetiously added two trips I want to take. One is to Brazil and one is to South Africa. The reason is that I've seen two women on Facebook who do these amazing makeovers for women. Not only a new hair style, but incredible make up. The one in Brazil is all in Spanish, so there's that. But the photos speak for themselves. The one in South Africa does the same magic for women...sometimes it's almost impossible to believe it's the same woman being made over. As much as I'd love to have one of those makeovers (and they probably cost a fortune, not to mention air fare!) but then I realized that once you have to remove the makeup for bed and later wash your hair, unless you have the training and talent like those two ladies, you'll never look like that again. So, I guess that item will never get checked off my bucket list. I'll just do the best I can, lol.

I'm happy with how I look now and only worry about what I can control. Props for thinking big, though.

It's a bucket list item that's just not gonna happen. Now if the makeover would last, I might would consider it.

@1creekgirl Most of them, don't. Like you said you need to wash off any makeup at the end of the day so that'd be easy to teach you how to do I guess, but the hair would be a hard cell I think.

@kaylachan One of the hair stylists has a YouTube tutorial on make up techniques. But I read that too many subscribers had signed up!

Funny you would want to go to those places, and not Scotland which would be a lot easier to deal with. You don't need Visa's to begin with and everyone speaks English.

Yeah, I'd much rather go to Scotland.

You can learn! I totally changed the way I wore makeup after I started with Farmasi. I love the simple fresh face look the best! After all, God made us all unique!

I think I'm doing good for my age. I learned that as we age, less makeup is better.

Though it may be a good experience, you must know that it is superficial. The time will come to remove them and all that so I better not

Yes, it's too expensive for a one day makeover.

One item that I have on my bucket list is to visit my late grandmother's farm in Ventorillo Panama. I will settle to use it on a You Tube channel.

@1creekgirl Ibiza is an island next to Spain. It is a part of Spain, but not in it. It's a vacation spot with lots of beaches, good food, parties, and concerts. It's a party island for all ages, but is more popular with people in their 20s to 30s. The official language is Spanish, but a lot of the employees at restaurants and such speak English. I would love to go one day.

Bucket list for me,or us, is lots of local tourism. As I have gotten older I have found I put less and less effort into hair and makeup, but sometimes I look in the mirror and can say "Hey, I look pretty good today".

I think it helps our self confidence when we look good. I have days when I sure don't, though, lol.

That's sweet of you, Amber. Growing older has its drawbacks, to put it mildly. But still so much to praise Jesus for.

I know there is a lot of natural beauty in both countries, South Africa is a great way off so maybe you can try to Brazil. Perhaps a cruise to take you there?

It sounds wonderful, but I know that won't happen. Our last cruise was a disaster!

Underneath you'd be just the same person but knowing you looked good would always be good for your confidence.

It is an incredible artifice, but you've highlighted the drawbacks!

The drawbacks are way more than the fun.
