Altadena California resident Samy Arbid was amazed to learn that a male bear who goes by the name Berry or Victor was underneath his home seeking refuge during the infamous Eaton Fire three weeks ago. Employees from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife used a trap to get the bear out of the home of Samy since using a tranquilizer gun would not work on a bear that weighs around 525 pounds. The bear was released to the forest in Los Angeles by the employees of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife have placed a GPS collar on the bear in an act of humanity toward bears. I want a bear. You know, maybe when I’m in Heaven, and the bear isn’t likely to eat me.

The animals must have been terrified. I am glad the bear was not harmed and able to take up life in a forest. They can find out a lot about the bear with the GPS collar.

@Deepizzaguy He is safe now and they can track him. They did good by helping him. I can only imagine how scared that bear was.

@Deepizzaguy I think that is mainly the reason why they go out of woods. It seems that they don't have any food supplies in their habitat

@rakski Many animal control officers are saying the bears will enter residential areas to seek food since the forests are dry from lack of food.

He must have had a big space underneath his house, and it must have had an opening in it for the bear to get in. In houses, here in Australia, the space underneath houses is small, and it is hard for anything to crawl in under there, but maybe one of our koala bears could do so, as they are not so big.

It is odd that a bear get underneath a home to avoid being burned in a fire.
