Thank you to all the kind folks who worried about hubby and I going to the Democrat's meeting. We had no issue getting there or getting home. It was like a revival meeting. Whatever stripe of political bear an American is, our loud chat was about: ensuring that kids get lunch, our kids get educated, our seniors get care and that everybody gets medical care. Stuff like that. And how we need to write letters to the editor, get people to vote, call our representatives. And it was about our grief that America's basic needs are being trashed. And a meeting of neighbors trying to help neighbors- the senior center will need to keep its doors open. If the Fed government doesn't keep trickling money, programs like Meals on Wheels will be gone and folks like our dear Linda will have a major issue. I'm glad we went. I was delighted to see Vets there. They fought for us. We need to honor them and try to keep the doors open and the lights on.
