In My LIttle Corner

So happy when I logged into the site today. Our good friend @LindaOH posted today. 
I, and many more of her good friends, have been thinking of her and sending her positive vibes.
Reading a pm from her brought a big smile to my face. I needed that today. I am still feeling lousy from whatever this bug is that I am wrestling with.
I took a little ham out of the freezer today to thaw. If I am not feeling well, baked ham is quite easy to make, and my husband can eat what he can and put the rest away for wraps for next week. I had a container of scalloped potatoes in the freezer, and took those out, and I picked up some fresh (imported) asparagus yesterday that I will steam. I love asparagus.
So, that's it, that is all that is happening in my little corner of the world, what is happening in yours today?

Just waiting for friend and Jax. I am going to cover the cat's water bowl and just uncover when he goes over there. Last time Jax was drinking out of it, and the cat wouldn't touch the bowl for days. Better yet, I will put it in the bedroom while he is here. The two he likes to drink out of.

@RebeccasFarm I have had this for a week now.
I am taking vitamin D but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

I also love asparagus. It's quite expensive here.
Today, I took my friend visiting from US to some museums and we had Japanese lunch.

As I look outside I see that the winds are blowing the snow, and there may be a bit more falling.
At this point it is hard to tell.
I was just up and moving about, folded some laundry out of the dryer.
I am sure that Linda will appreciate the love and support that we will all offer to her.

I started reading your discussion and stopped to go find Linda's... I'm glad she was able to visit us today. I've really missed talking with her.
I'm sorry you're still not feeling well and hope you just need some more rest to be 100%. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Thank you, the rest seems to be helping me for the day today, also I am drinking more.
I am thankful that Linda returned, she will feel our love.
I miss her also, but, like you, I understand.
Hopefully she starts her countdown to spring posts, I can use an injection of spring fever.

@Juliaacv I understand. I had to start drinking more water, too. The doctor said I was dehydrated all the time so would develop kidney stones if I didn't start drinking more water. I keep a quart bottle of water with me all the time now and drink a gallon and a half a day, at least. I don't need more physical problems if I can help it.

Thank you so much Vicki, I appreciate your prayers.
May family doctor has a family emergency which requires him to close his practice, and I have not been to him.
This morning my nose bled for well over an hour, I felt so weak afterwards. That is just one of the aspects of this bug.

@Juliaacv Julia, I'm not a doctor, but I don't think a severe nose bleed is viral. Could you see someone other than your regular doctor?

Today was a busy day for us. I just read and responded to Linda. I am just grateful not to have caught whatever it is that is making all the people at school sick. So sorry you are not well.

It was wonderful to see Linda pop in today. It made my heart happy.
I slept late today, and then got some paperwork done. But the Super Bowl is due to start soon, so I should be gearing up towards a bunch of commercials designed to make me laugh. I don’t have much faith that’s going to happen.

Sorry that you're still feeling under the weather with that bug you've had.
Ham sounds good (and easy like you said) and I love asparagus too. I don't know why I don't make it more often,

It made alot of us feel happy that Linda came by.
I hope that in time she returns as she feels up to it.
I think that we have asparagus more often during January and February as it is imported from Mexico and they have such delicious asparagus. It was so nice yesterday just steamed with a little fresh parm cheese on it. Sometimes I will stir fry it, which is also nice as a side dish.
