Sometimes I hate watching reels.

I was watching a reel where a person was eating a frog, and I guess it was boiled, and the person in the reel was swallowing it. The video was so horrible that I could not see it. I showed it to my kids, and they could not see the glimpse of this video. I wonder about the eating habits of people. Is it normal to eat frog in your place?

No. I don't feel repulsed about what is not served on my plate.

Hi Vanny! I hope everything on your plate is tasty and good to eat. Some people eat yucky things. Our past government wanted people to eat insects but most people refused.

@akalinus Your government wanted people to eat insects? Where do you live?

I never heard of people eating frog legs here. What they do with the remaining body of the frogs?

That makes them better, I guess. I am not eating any to find out. The thought of raw frogs legs does not thrill me. Thow them back in the swamp. Something will eat them.

I will eat frog legs after they've been breaded and fried but a whole frog? Gross! I'd throw up watching someone do that!

@sjvg1976 I don't doubt that at all. I'd be grossed out watching something like that, too.

You could say it is chicken or mystery meat. Mystery meat used to be on the school lunch menus. They actually called it that and I wondered if it was found on the roadside.

@sjvg1976 I think some people eat cooked frog legs, but I have never had one. I would not eat any part of a frog.

@sjvg1976 If they like to eat it in China, that is what they decided they want to eat.

There are other terrible foods in the Philippines also. My husband told me what weird things he saw people eating there. Horrible, at least to my taste. He was in the Marines and saw a lot of nasty things.

We had a group of boys in Thailand once and a frog was served up in the soup at a roadside cafe. The boy pretended to eat it but didn't. Last we saw the cook was putting it back in the soup for the next person!

@sjvg1976 @ akalinus In their culture, it was probably a compliment to offer the boy the frog. Things are done very differently in some countries. Mind you, I wouldn't have wanted it either. I wish I could find the photo but I can't at the moment.

This is eaten only in China. In India most people don't eat frogs. That's really squamy.
