Maybe known to some as pain patch. This is first time I use this as I thought it will be too much for me. My SIL recommended this for my lower back pain. Well, it helps though during the time of it's efficacy only. Do you use something like this?

I grew up with Salonpas in the household. Before it used to be just a Japanese product, but now it's everywhere. It does help - but I remember the strong smell of it - I think I only used it at night because of that (I didn't want to smell like that at school ).

I remember old people using a pain patch that smelled Mentholatum.... I used Aspercreme with Lidocaine and it worked but didn't have that nasty odor.

Try looking for Aspercreme with Lidocaine patches. I used those for years and they worked really well and they don't have the smell like Vicks VapoRub.

When I worked all the time, my lower back could ache from the low counters I had to use to help people... I used a pain patch called Aspercreme with Lidocaine. It worked very well. Now that I'm not working, I just take a muscle relaxant and am pain-free in about 20 minutes and may not have a problem again for days or even weeks. (But I couldn't take the muscle relaxant if I was going to work. It can make my brain work slower than usual. Nobody else could tell but I sure felt "fuzzy" for hours after taking it.)

I find those patchs do help when my back hurts. I also use a roll on pain reliever called Icy Hot or Biofreeze

Voltaren is good for pain relief. It used to be by prescription only, but is over the counter now.

I never tried patches but I'm sure they're healthier than tablets, if they work. Glad this one did.
